The 2003 hunting season repeated the success of 2002. Once again we placed 18 Moose tags into the field, including both guided and unguided outfitted hunters. 14 trophy Moose were brought out of the field. The four hunters that did not fill their Moose tags each had opportunity or passed at several trophy Moose. This season just three of the bulls taken measured less than 60 inches in antler width. Three bulls measured in with 66.5 inch spreads. Several nice Caribou, a couple of black bears and wolves were also taken. One hunter participated in the Oct. Alaska Peninsula Brown Bear season and scored big with a beautiful 9.5 foot Bruin. Congratulations to all the 2003 hunters on their trophies and another outstanding season.
